“I Was a Fool” by Tegan and Sara

Tegan and Sara’s song “Closer” wrapped up its 33-week chart run last week. It debuted on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 on October 3, 2012 and stayed until May 15, 2013, peaking at #13 on February 6. The Calgarian twin sisters have now released single #2 from their fabulous album, Heartthrob, “I Was a Fool”. The song was recently listed by the CBC as one of the current hits enshrining a retro 80s vibe. On the Hot 100 for only 3 weeks so far, it is already into the Top 40, at #39 this week. The music video is out and is simply gorgeous to look at. Tegan is featured on piano with Sara standing at a railing in a background of teal. The song is about a young woman’s heartbreak over “Sid”.   1. I saw these girls on Ellen of all places and I am Canadian! (although I have been living overseas for 3 years so a bit out of the loop ;))
    Came across your blog and I enjoy seeing all the Canadian history and content. Living abroad you sometimes loose your hertiage a bit, but want to hang onto it too… so I plan to stop by and get my Canadian ‘fix’ 🙂
