It’s official now!

20 Nov

I am proud to say, officially, that I’m a winner of the NanoWriMo 2014 challenge of 50,000 words! Β I also want to congratulate every other participant, winner or not!

I’m still a little ways off finishing the book, but I’ve got a heck of a start on it, and will keep going at this pace ’till November 30th!

I most certainly do! I accomplished in one month what I suspect would have taken me three months without the gentle push of the Nano challenge. πŸ™‚

Congrats!! I know what it takes to writes 50,000 words – and in such a short period of time. But isn’t the NaNoWriMo an experience to remember!!

Way to go, my friend…that is truly spectacular and deserves some applause.

I got there a couple of days ago and now want to set up an official outline for my story before proceeding with what is sure to be a 200,000-word book

    • tkmorin

      November 21, 2014 at 5:36 pm

Cool <— echo applause!! I'm working on the outline as well, and I got lost! LOL. πŸ™‚

I knew my beginning and the literally earth-shattering ending, but then just moseyed for a couple of weeks with “yeah, this would probably happen”

That is harder than most people think. I have tried a couple of times but fell far short with about 30,000 words each time. But was writing nevertheless. Great experience for all!

      November 20, 2014 at 6:55 pm

Yes, and what a great feeling it is, too! I’m on a rush today. I’m going to treat myself to something tonight (I’m just not sure what) LOL
Do you think you’ll do it again? Succeeding to reach the 50,000 words would lend itself to trying it again next year, I think.
Thanks again for dropping by and commenting! πŸ™‚

Congratulations! I decided not to do it this year, but my wife did and she just finished yesterday as well. What was your novel about?

    • tkmorin

      November 20, 2014 at 3:05 pm

History, of course! LOL. It’s about a murder in Ontario in 1890. Quite an interesting story. What about your wife’s? It’s a good feeling to cross that first finish line. πŸ™‚

        November 20, 2014 at 3:40 pm

          November 20, 2014 at 6:52 pm

Yeah, I can understand that. I’ve been on free flow for the last three weeks, now comes the “at least” first read/edit. I won’t let anyone read it yet either! LOL Congratulate her for me, okay? Thanks! πŸ™‚
