Olympic and Black History Combo

Donovan Bailey

Donovan Bailey is one of the greatest sprinters of all time. He held the world record for the 100 metres, and the title of World Champion and Olympic Champion.

Track and Field News named him “Athlete of the Decade” in the 100 metres, and he became known as “The World’s Fastest Man.”

As Canadians, we were proud when this Jamaican-born athlete dominated the field at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, by winning gold in the 100 metre and the 4 x 100-metre relay.

Cheers for our Canadian athletes! But, Not to ruin the mood. I hope we don’t really have to send our best to Sochi with all that mess there now 😦
