Polly Shannon, a Canadian actress, was born on September 1, 1973.  She was born in Kingston (Ontario) and was raised in Aylmer (Quebec).

At the early age of 13, Shannon became a model, and had assignments that took her to New York, London, and Tokyo.

Not that long ago, Shannon starred opposite Tom Selleck in Stone Cold (2005) and Jesse Stone in Night Passage (2006).   Shannon is best known for her portrayal of Margaret Trudeau in the 2002 miniseries Trudeau.  “Playing Maggie was a really thrilling experience,” Shannon noted at the time. “It was a challenge that was different from anything else I’ve done.”  

In 2008, she won the Special Jury Award at the WorldFest Houston for Miranda & Gordon (2006).
