The Day Nova Scotia Got “Electricity”

On July 31, 1907, a plant to develop electric power from coal was opened at Maccan, Nova Scotia.

 

Famous inventor Thomas Edison, who was a member of a family from Digby, Nova Scotia, was one of the founders.

    Thomas Edison, I am so proud that he is Canadian.
