Don’t Tease …

05 Jul

Aurora College in Inuvik, Northwest Territories

I’ve written a few posts about wacky laws that are still on the books.  Well, the Northwest Territories are no different from the rest of Canada.

And by the way, I just found a great blog about the Northwest Territories.  Just go on to Inuvik Photos.ca – Beautiful!

Coming back to wacky laws that are still on the books, in Inuvik, it is against the law to annoy or tease any animal!

Wacky law haha… Validating what mother’s say everywhere: Don’t play with your food!

I support not annoying animals, but I’m curious…does the animal have to file a complaint?

So I shouldn’t wiggle the cat’s fishing toy at the cat in Inuvik? Because that would be teasing.

There are polar bears around Inuvik, aren’t there? In that case, a law banning people from teasing animals might be intended to protect the humans!

That makes sense! Still, it’s good advice any time not to annoy animals … Of any kind! 🙂

That’s ridiculous. Thanks for showing me the way up north. I am going to follow him to find out the life of the First Nations. 😛
