Do you know Matt? What if you knew his full name is Matt Mullenweg? No?
Well, neither did I until the last hour.
I was going to WordPress‘ support page. Just to thank the “powers that be” because I like the changes they have made in the last few days.
WordPress, and its community, is just so rewarding and user-friendly. I mean, I’ve been managing my website for years now, and it’s been difficult to maintain. I spend more time with the technical than I do with the writing!
When I first joined WordPress, I thought I would use it as a way to promote my website. I really had not fully comprehended this whole “blogging” fad.
Now? WordPress is so easy to maintain. I do the writing, and WordPress does the heavy lifting. And just when I think life couldn’t get easier — they go and *improve* it! Are we WordPress bloggers spoiled or what?
I realize this sounds like a promo for WordPress, and that I’m preaching to the choir.
So, coming back to my question: Do you know Matt? He is the WordPress developer. He’s also responsible for Akismet – so we’re not bombarded with spam and lets us know who has visited our blog. And Gravatar – so we can have a cute picture and we can quickly tell others a little about us. And PollDaddy – so that if we wanted to, we could ask anything of our visitors. And he developed a few other programs too!
So I finish with this post with a Thank You for all the work you do, Matt!
