This is my second post for today. This one is lighthearted and short, but I thought interesting. Enjoy!

Okay, so it’s ice-raining outside today. Hardly warm, much less hot. But I decided to check out record-making hot winter days in Canada. This is what I found:
Despite a generally chilly climate, the temperature in these large cities has risen above 20 °C (68 °F) during winter.
Calgary 22.6°C Feb 27, 1992
St. Catharines – Niagara 21.9°C Dec 3, 1982
Hamilton 20.7°C Dec 3, 1982
Abbotsford 20.6°C Feb 27, 1968
Windsor 20.4°C Feb 26, 2000
Toronto 20.0°C Dec 3, 1982
Yeah, I figured you’d be as surprised as me. I got these at a site I just found this morning. It’s at Current Results, Research news and science facts.
Ha-ha wow!
I hope the warm weather comes soon, this cold weather is no fun! lol

Not with this rain. 😦

Oh … I forgot about the rain. We mostly hear the temperature (warmer than Ottawa) and your snow (definitely less than we get). 🙂

Not very good for hockey season! By the way, someone recently told me about “bandy” a hockey like game played in Canada. Are you familiar with this sport?

Oh my gosh! I had never heard of this sport before, and go figure, we’ve got teams! Apparently, it’s like hockey, only instead of using a puck, the players use a ball. I find this so interesting (and I like learning something new, too), I plan on writing up a post about this. I’ll wager that it will intrigue quite a few Canadians, too.
So, thank you for the question! Come back in a bit to read about it in more detail! 🙂

This winter is better in The Catskills of NY compared to last year. The ski resorts that make snow are open. We had rain, freezing rain, and alas snow today. Snowshoes are being replaced by snow boots when hiking.

It’s just weird weather everywhere, eh? It was so nice the last few days here, and today we’ve gotten at least a foot and a half, and it’s still coming down! Ah, let’s hope Spring shows her face earlier this year …. Mind you, if I had a business that involved snow, I’d probably sigh in relief … 🙂
