Canada Leg

In the earlier post I wrote about the Canadarm; today let me tell you about the Canada Leg.

 

Lance Matthews, organic farmer and carpenter, of Mansfield, Ontario, fell and broke his heel back in 1997. He found the wooden crutches he’d been given to be frustrating and quite cumbersome. So what did he do? He tinkered in his basement and made a crutch that was strapped to the leg, thereby leaving his hands free. He manufactured what became the iWalkFree crutch, the Canada Leg.
